Experiencing Joy of Cooking on Your Trip
Josu-ri, Hangyeong-myeon in Jeju Island features a quaint country village. Paulstay opened in this location, created by Chef Paul who owned a small restaurant in the neighboring village, Jeoji-ri, for a rest offering a gastronomical delight. He kept the name, Paul, from his time in Australia where he learned cooking. He moved to Jeju Island in hopes to spend more time with his family and make hearty foods with care. Now, he is creating his brand of healthy meals where Jeju’s fresh seasonal ingredients meet French and Italian recipes.

Paulstay features a second-story house with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a dining room on the first floor while the open-plan second floor hosts another bedroom, bathroom and an open-bath and rooftop garden. Two separate sets of kitchens are certainly interesting here, allowing friends and families to have a fun cooking competition. If you only ate out during other trips because you either didn’t know how to cook or felt lazy, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a great memory while cooking and enjoying the meal with ingredients and recipes that a professional chef has prepared for you. This would definitely be the biggest charm of the place.

Paul Kitchen Jeju is the chef’s restaurant, 10 minutes away by car, fully prepared with breakfast and dinner menu for the guest, also providing a catering service. I was personally in the market for a place for our family reunion, and was excited to find out about Paulstay. From the mouthwatering food and cozy space to an enjoyable cooking experience, if you are planning for a family trip or workshop with your coworkers, Paulstay will be the perfect place to meet all of your senses.
